Successful Hunting Trips

Nothing’s worse than coming home from a hunting trip without a kill, and sometimes regardless of the hunter’s skill, you just don’t find your quarry.  But when you do locate your quarry, it’s best to be prepared.  While setting up for a shot can take some time, in order to improve your shot it’s important to do two things; find level ground, and ensure your prey doesn’t hear, see, or smell you.  Riflescopes can improve the accuracy of your shot, and for locating your prey at greater distances, a spotting scope can be helpful.  The most likely reason your prey will sense you is from your smell, thus masking your smell with a scent masker or inhibitor is a good idea.

Perhaps more frustrating than coming home without a kill is losing a kill for a reason that could have been prevented with preparation.  Being prepared will lead to more successful hunting trips, and more reason to boast to your hunting buddies!
